I know nobody will realize it unless they read the comic or have the wallpaper, but Sam's desktop is this from the webcomic String Theory.

I'm all bummed that I had to retire the red lineart. It didn't work at all with the dark shading, so it's back to black! I'm thinking I'll use black for night scenes and red for day scenes, to keep it simple. On the topic of lineart, I'm so happy with this page. I went into crazy detail on it to make up for my pisspoor performance in the school.
